Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I find your beers?

Our HopBanshee IPA, Raging Blonde Ale, Scout Dog 44 Amber Ale, and Buzzin’ Bee Honey Rye Wheat Ale are now available in cans and may be found at many retail stores throughout Jacksonville.  You can purchase your favorite Veterans United brew in the taproom: choose from six-packs, Crowlers, growlers, or 1/6 or 1/2 bbl kegs. We also release small batches of interesting brews every month that are only available at the taproom. Check our calendar to see when the next one will be tapped.

What’s on tap at the brewery right now?

Check out our current beer menu online here.

Do you offer tours?

Yes! Our awesome tours include a guided tour of the brewery production area by our knowledgeable staff; a souvenir tasting glass; and three 4 oz. sample pours from our taps.  The cost is $7+tax.  Minors accompanying a parent or guardian may join in on the tour for free.  The tour is approximately 20 minutes and occurs on Saturdays. Depending on staff availability, please call ahead to make sure that we are giving tours on a particular Saturday. Private tours for large groups are available by appointment - the price may differ from the public tour.

Do you have a Mug Club?

Yes! Mug Club members benefits include an assigned taproom mug that holds an extra four ounces of beer, access to special events, and special pricing on events and merchandise throughout the year. Inquire in the taproom about joining!

Is your taproom family-friendly?

Because we are primarily an alcohol-serving establishment, we do not have any child booster seats or changing stations. Minors are welcome inside, and we do sell Coke, Coke Zero, Diet Coke, Sprite and bottles of water.  We also have tons of board games available.  There is one standard-height seating area that may more easily accommodate the younger guests; the rest of our tables are at bar height.

Minors may also accompany a parent or guardian on a brewery tour for free, so if you think they'd enjoy a lesson on the brewing process, by all means, bring them along!

Is your taproom dog-friendly?

We love dogs and welcome all well-behaved, leashed canines inside the taproom.

Non-service dogs are not permitted in the brewery production area.  Please always curb your dog as a courtesy to us and the rest of your fellow beer lovers.

Do you serve food?

Our expertise lies in beer creation, so we leave all the grilling to the food professionals. We do offer basic pub fare snacks (pretzel bites, mozzarella sticks, chips, etc.). We are partnered with several food trucks that are here on select days of the week; you are also welcome to bring food into the taproom anytime to enjoy with our beer. Check out the food truck schedule on our calendar.

DO YOU SERVE ANY BEVERAGES OTHER THAN BEER?

While we would love to have you enjoy one of our beers in the taproom, we do understand that some folks want something different. Besides beer, we also offer red and white wine, hard cider, hard seltzer, and several non-alcoholic beverages.

Do you have a patio / beer garden / outdoor seating?

Yes, we have a beer garden with four large picnic tables.

What is the Jax Ale Trail?

Veterans United Craft Brewery and more than a dozen other Jacksonville breweries are all a part of a self-guided tour of the local craft beer scene here on the First Coast. Find out more about the whole shebang and how to win some neat prizes.

IS the taproom available for private rental?

In addition to the taproom, we have an adjacent special events room for rental. Please contact us at info@vubrew.com with any questions or requests for your event.

Do you have any merchandise for sale?

We have several styles of t-shirts available; car decals; a cotton twill cap; a black mesh "trucker" cap;  4 oz tasting glasses; glass and stainless steel growlers; koozies; branded pint glassware; metal tackers; gift cards; and more!  All items have our logo. Come by the taproom to check out all the goods!

Do you have a TV so I can watch the game?

We have two large screen TVs – one in the taproom and one in the special events room.
